Ingredients

- 1.5 pounds fresh jalapeños (about 30 peppers)
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
Instructions
- Prepare the jalapeños by removing the stems and slicing them into 1/4-inch rounds. Feel free to wear gloves!
- Combine the apple cider vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, turmeric, and celery seed in a large saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
- Reduce the heat and let simmer for five minutes before adding the jalapeño slices.
- Bring back to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer for four minutes.
- Transfer jalapeños into clean glass canning jars using a slotted spoon.
- Continue boiling the syrup for six minutes, then pour over jalapeños in jars.
- Seal the jars and refrigerate for at least 1-2 weeks before enjoying.
