Description

A comforting 15-minute meal featuring a sticky glaze that envelops tender ground turkey, served over rice with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and green onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/3 cup Honey (Raw honey)
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger (Grated)
  • 2 cups White Rice (Cooked)
  • 1 tbsp Green Onions (Sliced)
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds (White)

Instructions

  1. Heat a drizzle of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, add the ground turkey. Let it sear undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes to develop those lovely dark brown edges that add flavor.
  2. Combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl. Whisk it together until it’s smooth.
  3. Pour the honey-garlic sauce over the seared turkey. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and turns glossy. Serve over a bed of white rice, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

Prepare the sauce in advance and store it in the fridge for up to a week. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
