Description

A tropical escape on your plate, this Hawaiian Turn Turn Chicken pairs sweet pineapple juice and soy sauce with grilled chicken for a flavorful summer dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together pineapple juice, soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken in a resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight. Serve with rice, salad, or grilled vegetables.
