Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons strawberry juice or milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk in another bowl.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just blended, then gently fold in the diced strawberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Mix the powdered sugar with strawberry juice or milk for the glaze until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread in a zigzag pattern.
