Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, stirring occasionally. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in onion soup mix and beef broth, and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Split the hamburger buns and toast them lightly.
- Fill each bun generously with the beef mixture and top with shredded Swiss cheese.
- Place under the broiler for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
You can prepare the beef mixture ahead of time and warm it up for quick assembly. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
