Description

A sweet and comforting side dish of caramelized baby carrots in a cinnamon glaze, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring water and baby carrots to a boil in a large saucepan. Cook until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Drain the carrots and return them to the pan.
  3. Add butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the pan.
  4. Cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and the caramel sauce forms, about 3-5 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.
  5. Serve warm as a side dish to steak or chicken, and enjoy!

Notes

These carrots can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the fridge. Reheat gently before serving.
