- 1 3/4 cups hot water

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Combine granulated sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well until combined.
- Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- Mix together the brown sugar and hot water in a separate bowl.
- Carefully pour this mixture over the batter—do not stir!
- Bake in your preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set and has a slightly crispy crust.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving, and enjoy with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For best results, serve warm with a drizzle of chocolate syrup on top. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
