- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, minced or grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or quinoa for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken and broccoli: Start by cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces and washing the broccoli florets. Set them aside.
- Make the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Cook the chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and cook the chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add broccoli: Toss in the broccoli florets, mixing well, and let cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Simmer with sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and broccoli, stirring gently, and allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Garnish: Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Serve: Plate over cooked rice or quinoa.
Notes
Chicken and broccoli can be prepped in advance and stored separately. Reheat gently for optimal freshness.
