- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mash the bananas until smooth, letting their sweet aroma fill the air.
- Stir in the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
