- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Start by crushing the graham crackers into fine crumbs and layer them in the bottom of your serving dish.
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks and cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Allow the pastry cream to cool slightly, then layer it generously over the graham cracker base.
- Next, slice the ripe bananas and arrange them atop the pastry cream.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the sliced bananas.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the caramel layer.
- Finish with an additional layer of crushed graham crackers on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes before serving.
