Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the mashed bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until it comes together.
- Pat the dough into a circle about 1-inch thick, then cut it into wedges.
- Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
- Whisk together the brown sugar and milk for the glaze and drizzle over warm scones before serving.
