Description
Delightful banana bread cinnamon rolls filled with sweet, spiced sugar and creamy banana, drizzled with cream cheese frosting.

- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Combine mashed bananas, milk, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Mix flour, yeast, and salt in another bowl. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with softened butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, then top with sliced bananas.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into rolls. Place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk for frosting. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
Add walnuts or pecans for crunch, or mini chocolate chips for a chocolatey twist. Dough can be prepared the night before and refrigerated.
