- 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Sugar (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Toss together the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
- Roll out the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and cut them into circles.
- Place a generous spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle.
- Carefully fold the crust over the apple filling and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle sugar on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
You can prepare the apple filling a day before and store it in the fridge. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
