Description

A cozy and flavorful meatloaf made with ground beef, turkey bacon, Swiss cheese, and mushrooms, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef 80/20
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced and sautéed
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with foil or use a loaf pan.
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and sauté until browned, then remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
  5. Fold in half of the shredded Swiss cheese evenly.
  6. Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet or press into a loaf pan.
  7. Top the loaf with sautéed mushrooms, turkey bacon, and remaining Swiss cheese.
  8. Bake for 45–55 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Make-ahead mixture can be prepared a day in advance. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
