- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups freeze-dried strawberries, measured then blended
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons milk

- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (for the glaze)
- 1 tablespoon freeze-dried strawberries, finely processed (for the glaze)
Instructions
- Process the freeze-dried strawberries until they’re mostly powdered. Reserve one tablespoon for the glaze.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract, milk, and strawberry powder until evenly blended.
- Flatten the dough into a disk shape, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness and use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Bake cookies for 13–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
- Whisk together the glaze ingredients and spread it over each cookie. Sprinkle with reserved strawberry powder. Let the glaze set before enjoying.
Notes
For added flavor, try adding lemon zest or drizzling with melted chocolate.
