Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup caramel bits or soft caramel candies, chopped
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour and baking soda in another bowl.
  5. Gradually blend these dry ingredients into your wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the caramel bits evenly throughout your dough.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of each cookie before baking.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes
