Description

Tender, marinated chicken strips steeped in a creamy Greek yogurt marinade, perfect for grilling or baking.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin (optional)
  • 1 pound Chicken Tenders
  • Fresh Parsley or Dill (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and ground cumin. Stir until smooth.
  2. Place chicken tenders in a resealable plastic bag or a bowl.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and coat generously. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably a few hours.
  4. Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat for grilling or 400°F for baking.
  5. For grilling, cook chicken on the grill for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. For baking, spread chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Let the tenders rest for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley or dill before serving.

Notes

Marinate ahead of time for deeper flavor. Storage: leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
