- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 cups chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
- Marshmallows, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized mounds of dough onto lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers look soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
