- 4 Hawaiian rolls
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Optional: Sliced tomatoes or crispy turkey bacon
Instructions
- Sauce the Hawaiian rolls in half without cutting all the way through to create a pocket.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and generously butter the insides of the rolls.
- Place the bottom halves on the skillet and fill each one with shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
- Press down on the top halves to seal in the cheese.
- Grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Flip carefully.
- Once crispy and melted, remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
For variations, try adding jalapeños, bacon, or vegetables for extra flavor.
