A refreshing and vibrant fruit salad with a creamy sour cream base and a hint of orange jello, perfect for summer gatherings.

- 1 (30-oz) can fruit cocktail in juice
- 1 (20-oz) can pineapple chunks in juice
- 1 (8-oz) can mandarin orange slices
- 1 (10-oz) bag mini marshmallows
- 1 (24-oz) container of sour cream
- 1 box orange flavored gelatin
Instructions
- Pour all the fruit from the cans into a colander placed over the sink. Allow the juices to drain for four hours.
- If time is short, use a clean kitchen towel to gently pat the fruit dry.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and orange jello powder. Stir until fully combined.
- Add the drained fruit cocktail, pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, and mini marshmallows to the bowl. Gently stir to coat the fruit.
- Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least one hour, though four hours or overnight is best.
- Just before serving, give it a quick stir and serve chilled.
Notes
This salad can be made ahead of time and is best enjoyed within a few days. Customize with fresh fruits if desired.
