- 4 large, buttery croissants
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
- Your favorite condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup)
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Slice the croissants in half lengthwise.
- Divide the ground beef into four equal portions, shaping them into patties about 1 inch thick, and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the patties in the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes until a crust forms.
- Gently smash each patty down with a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on the patties just before they’re done cooking to melt.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the croissant bottoms, adding avocado and spinach, and your favorite condiments.
- Cap with the croissant tops and serve warm.
