Ingredients

- 2 pounds of steak (e.g., sirloin or chuck)
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Layer the diced potatoes on the bottom of a large crockpot.
- Season the steak generously with salt and pepper, then place it on top of the potatoes.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a mixing bowl. Stir well and pour this mixture over the steak and potatoes.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 360 minutes, or until the steak is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top about 15 minutes before serving, cover, and allow it to melt.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
You can prep this dish the night before and cook it in the morning. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the fridge.
