Description

A family-favorite recipe combining tender chicken, savory ham, and creamy Swiss cheese in a crispy breadcrumb coating.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying or baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking or heat oil in a skillet over medium heat for frying.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. If baking, place the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through. If frying, cook in oil for 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. Top each piece of chicken with a slice of ham and Swiss cheese, then return to the oven or cover the skillet until the cheese is melted.
  6. Drizzle with honey mustard sauce before serving.

Notes

Make the chicken and coating ahead of time, and store it in the fridge. Reheat when ready to serve.
