- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying or baking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking or heat oil in a skillet over medium heat for frying.
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- If baking, place the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through. If frying, cook in oil for 5-7 minutes per side.
- Top each piece of chicken with a slice of ham and Swiss cheese, then return to the oven or cover the skillet until the cheese is melted.
- Drizzle with honey mustard sauce before serving.
Notes
Make the chicken and coating ahead of time, and store it in the fridge. Reheat when ready to serve.
