Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and continue to cook until golden brown, stirring constantly.
  3. Combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until well blended.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an even chewier cookie, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
