Description
A tender and juicy Butterball turkey roast made effortlessly in a crock pot, perfect for cozy dinners or festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 Butterball turkey breast roast (3–9 lbs) (thawed)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or nonstick spray
- Salt
- Pepper
- Herbs and spices (thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, paprika)
- 1/2 cup broth, vegetable juice, or water
Instructions
- Begin by patting the turkey breast dry with paper towels. If you’re using a boneless turkey, leave the netting on to keep it intact during cooking.
- Spray or brush the turkey all over with the olive oil or nonstick spray.
- Generously season the turkey with salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs and spices.
- Place the turkey breast skin-side up in the slow cooker.
- Pour in ½ cup of your chosen liquid—broth, vegetable juice, or plain water.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
- If it’s not there yet, continue cooking for an additional 1–2 hours until the internal temperature reaches a safe 165°F.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the turkey from the slow cooker and tent it with foil. Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
You can prep the turkey a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
