Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (167g) salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (123g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (115g) granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (304g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (200g) favorite chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350° F. (175° C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in your favorite chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop the dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon portions on the cookie sheet, giving space to spread.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown on the edges but slightly underbaked in the center.
  8. Cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

You can refrigerate dough for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container.
